NSC was pleased to host a day and a half retreat for Women Executive Directors as a celebration, networking opportunity, and kick-off event to the 2008 Women Executive Director's Leadership Academy Programs.
The Women's Executive Director Forum gave women from various parts of Missouri and Southern Illinois a chance to meet, celebrate, and learn from other each other through peer panels and group discussions on leadership styles, balancing life, and other unique aspects of being a female executive director. Ruth McCambridge has more than thirty-five years of experience working with community-based nonprofits. She is currently the Editor in Chief of The Nonprofit Quarterly, an innovative nonprofit journal aimed at helping to build the

serves as strategic advisor to the Alliance for Nonprofit Excellence’s nationally recognized Program for Nonprofit Excellence, advising the program, its consultants and cohort participants in capacity building work.
The participants were also fortunate to hear from Kathryn Kiefer of Keifer Communications Group as the featured skills development presenter at the Women's Forum.
